Afvalkalender Venray from Opzet BV is a municipal waste-management app that helps Venray residents follow local collection schedules and reduce missed pickups. After entering a Dutch zip code and house number the app generates an address-specific calendar and can send push or optional email reminders before collection days. It also includes an Afvalwijzer separation guide and a map of public collection points for common drop-offs. Designed for Venray households that want municipal-sourced schedules with minimal setup and no account required.

The developer integrates official municipal data to keep dates accurate

The app is fed from the municipality’s official collection schedules and the developer’s platform integrates with local administrative systems, which supports timely updates when holidays or maintenance affect routes. That integration explains why collection dates align with municipal records and enables the app to surface schedule changes as they occur. The administrative link also allows the app to display the municipal contact information for waste services as a support channel.

The app limits data collection and operates without account sign-in

The design avoids mandatory user accounts, which reduces stored personal profiles and aligns with a privacy-focused approach. Notification preferences are optional so users control reminders and email alerts. The app requests only the address needed to return a schedule, and the permission set is kept minimal to preserve local data residency. Accessibility improvements for visually impaired users are part of the developer’s stated update focus.

Supports older supported devices and keeps a small footprint

The app requires Android 7.0 or later and is also available on current mobile platforms, making it suitable for a broad range of phones. Its stated lightweight approach targets essential utility over feature bloat, which helps it run on modest hardware without demanding background resources. That focus suits households that prefer a compact tool for an everyday municipal task rather than a large, multi-purpose utility.

Setup is simple and multilingual options help diverse residents

Initial configuration uses a local address lookup so non-technical users can get a tailored calendar with only a zip code and house number. The interface supports multiple languages including English, Polish, and German to assist residents not fluent in Dutch. The app also surface municipal contact details for questions about collections, positioning the tool as a local-service companion rather than a generic waste directory.

Afvalkalender suits Venray households needing municipal-sourced scheduling

The app is a practical choice for residents who value authoritative schedule data and minimal setup, with a privacy-conscious design and accessibility improvements. Users should note community feedback that flags occasional discrepancies in specific streams such as PMD, which the developer addresses through updates. For non-Dutch speakers enable the alternate language setting, and treat the app as a convenient municipal reference. Recommended.
