AeroWeather Lite is a free weather app for iPhone and iPod touch that gives access to METAR/TAF and a built-in airport database.

With AeroWeather Lite you can view METAR/TAF as raw or decoded text. You can also access the airport database by means of the built-in airport widget. This widget contains airport information, such as the runway number, runway length, elevation, runway status, and the airport's position.

This widget lets you view the current weather conditions of your home, work, or other places you care about. Additionally, it can be turned off and on at any time.

This app is useful to check weather conditions in your area, but also for basic meteorology. The weather widget and the built-in airport database are useful to get a quick idea about the current weather situation.

When an airport is selected in the database, a large map will appear on the phone's screen. This map contains information of the airport, such as runway information, runway status, traffic, and the airport's position. The airport's position is updated every hour.
