AdWars for YouTube is a community-supported extension designed to skip YouTube in-video ad segments. Developed by AdWars, this free Chrome add-on relies on user reports to identify and block ads, saving users valuable time while watching videos on YouTube.

The concept behind AdWars is simple yet effective. Users can report specific timecodes of ads within videos and rate them accordingly. This collaborative effort allows the community to identify and block ads, ensuring a seamless viewing experience for all. In case an ad is skipped incorrectly, users can also report the video to rectify the issue.

One of the standout features of AdWars is the ability to disable ad skipping for certain videos or for all videos. This level of customization ensures that users have full control over their ad experience.

To get started with AdWars, simply install the extension and sign in with your Google account. By doing so, you not only gain the ability to skip ads, but also become an active participant in the AdWars community.
