ABUS SmartX is a free Android app from ABUS August Bremicker und Söhne KG. The app is designed to work with their mechatronic alarm locks, which provide high mechanical security in addition to a loud alarm of up to 100 dB. With this app, you can use your smartphone as a digital key to unlock and lock your ABUS SmartX lock. The app works using a secure Bluetooth connection, allowing the lock to communicate with your smartphone and unlock as soon as you are within a 2m radius of the lock.

One of the most convenient features of ABUS SmartX is the ability to grant access permissions to other people via messages. You can manage these permissions within the app, granting permanent or time-limited access to up to 8 other people.
