Ayushman Bharat is an initiative by the Government of India to establish a nationwide network of Health and Wellness Centres to provide a comprehensive range of healthcare services. These centres will provide healthcare services including both curative and preventive care. 

The program is being implemented in two phases. The first phase is the creation of 1,50,000 Health and Wellness Centres to be used as platforms for the delivery of healthcare services. These centers will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services. The second phase is the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) to provide health protection to the poor and vulnerable.

The PM-JAY is a national-level health protection policy that provides financial assistance to the poor and the vulnerable. It is being implemented through a network of community health centers.
