A Hat in Time - Nyakuza Metro + Online Party, developed by Gears for Breakfast, expands the original 3D platformer with a fresh chapter set in a gritty underground urban environment. This paid DLC introduces the Nyakuza Metro, a subterranean cityscape inhabited by a cat-like mafia, offering new characters, collectibles, and storylines. The addition of Online Party mode enables cooperative multiplayer gameplay, allowing players to tackle platforming challenges and explore together. This expansion focuses on exploration, progression, and social interaction within a richly detailed setting.

The core gameplay revolves around navigating the underground Nyakuza Metro as a gang member intent on climbing the criminal ranks. What’s new with this DLC?

This DLC introduces 10 new Time Pieces as main collectibles, and a new weapon, the Baseball Cat. There is also the Sticker System that can be used for weapon customization, photo mode, and as emotes in Online Party Mode. The inclusion of Online Party mode introduces a cooperative multiplayer element, enabling players to engage with friends in shared platforming adventures. This mode is a large-scale free-roam mode that supports up to 50 people, primarily for social interaction rather than for synchronized story progression. There is still the split-screen co-op from the base game that allows users to engage in true cooperative gameplay with their friends.
