Set in Korean fork tale, this game will take you on an adventure to the eight different areas of purgatory. You’ll play as a young girl, Arum, who recently lost her father. Each area in the game comes with mysteries you need to solve and specters to fight. All these to lead fugitive souls to the right path. 

Battle out your way through a specter-filled purgatory

In this Metroidvania-themed 2D action-platformer game developed by Rootless Studio, you’ll encounter more than 30 species of specters and 12 species of boss specters. Each of them also has unique patterns. An afterlife is a dangerous place for living individuals like you. Every specter is out to take your life. You must fight them with your powerful combo attacks and wisely use the new powers you gained. 

8Doors contains dark and spooky design to perfectly exhibit the afterlife world. The game color scheme varies from three colors, white, black, and red. Its characters are beautifully drawn by hand using the 2D frame by frame animation. Moreover, it offers fast-pacing and challenging gameplay that will surely entice your love for action platformer games. 

8Doors is still in the demo stage. However, the gameplay and art style is already noteworthy. There are still areas that need refurbishing, such as the slightly unanchored moving platforms. But, this is still recommended, especially for players who love to try out Metroidvania-themed games.
