The game of Twenty-Nine (29) is played with a standard 52-card deck. There are two opposing players and two teams. Each player receives 5 cards at the start of the game, and the rest of the cards are dealt out to the table face down. The object of the game is to win the bid, which is done by either taking all the cards in the opponent's down-card row or by taking the highest card in the opponent's up-card row. If the bid is successfully completed, the player is awarded one point for each of their opponents. If the player fails to win the bid, they are penalized one point for each of their opponents.
