2048 is played on a simple 44 grid with numbered tiles that slide when the four arrow keys are used to move them. Every time it's your turn, a new tile with a value of either 2 or 4 randomly appears on the board. Tiles move as far as they can in the chosen direction until another tile, or the edge of the grid, stops them. When moving, if two tiles with the same number hit each other, they will combine into a single tile with the total value of the two that hit. The tile that was made can't combine with another tile in the same move.
