1971 Project Helios is a turn-based strategy game developed by RecoTechnology for the Nintendo Switch platform. The game is set in a frozen world where eight characters join forces to find a kidnapped scientist. The game combines modern warfare military tactics and close combat, with firearms and vehicles being scarce due to the hostile environment.

The game features tactical combat where you fight against three different factions, each with its unique units, strategy, and advantages. You will have to study your enemies, plan out every move, and adapt to all confrontations. In addition to combat, you will also have to travel through various locations, from military enclaves to medieval dungeons, and search for fulgor, new equipment for your characters, and pieces of information about the world and factions you face.

The game also features skill trees that allow you to unlock and upgrade new skills for your characters as you find compatible equipment. You can combine these skills to make the perfect builds for your strategy. Resource management is also an essential aspect of the game as you use all the fulgor you can find to defreeze your HP, decrease cooldowns, and reanimate fallen units. Depending on your strategic and personal decisions, you will guide these characters to one of three possible endings.
